Councillor Brian Wilson said “it is a strong local team who really understand their community”.

Julian Ware-Lane, Labour’s Parliamentary Candidate, added “Castle Point residents often feel neglected by Chelmsford, and can rightly point to years of failure to deal with issues, like traffic, that have brought misery to many. The Tories have failed; now it is time for Labour to step up and show what effective governance looks like.”

The European elections will be taking place on the same day, and on the Labour panel is Katie Curtis, a Castle Point resident, (she lives on Canvey Island).
