John Trollope:- 17th July 1926 – 8th November 2009

At a quarter past midnight 8th November 2009 John Trollope lost his short battle against cancer.

John who had been the chair of Castle Point Labour Party for about 5 years, a Borough Councillor during the previous Labour administration from 1999 until 2003 and an ardent Socialist will be sorely missed not just by the Labour Party but by the numerous charities which he supported ardently.

John was a prolific fund raiser for the Labour Party and his charities.  His wit while acting as an Auctioneer at local auctions is not likely to be easily surpassed.  We (Labour Party Members) all have fond memories of John, his active support of this party's PPC, Julian Ware-Lane's campaigning will be missed.

John, held strong views on most things in which he took part but seldom was any animosity detected . John, did however have particular strong views on those who preach racial in-tolerence.
Next to John's family, the Labour Party, John's second passion in life was playing bowls. If you couldn't get in touch him at any time, he would playing bowls. it is sure that members of his Bowls club will miss him too..

Our thoughts are with Lorna (John's wife)and their children and grandchildren.
